In the 1980s/90s the British Fantasy Society published a range of chapbooks besides the regular publications Dark Horizons and the Newsletter aka Bulletin. One slim chapbook — at 16 pages plus covers — was Birthday by Mark Morris, already embarked on his professional career. The cover art was by Jim Pitts.
Birthday was produced by Peter Coleborn and published in 1992 with a cover price of £1.50. This was the story’s first publication. BFS membership was a mere £12 pa.
